I'm the demon in the bell jar The pattern in the lace I'm skin over the iris Out of place I'm a lovely creature Hiding in the reeds Discovering my nature What's part of me You're not alone I'll always make you feel at home You're not alone I am the flesh around your bones

Tidal Wave 03:51
Fly high over the ashes in the valley Your home is gone, but there are greener pastures somewhere Far away And I can't slow the churning winds That blow you over the land toward the sea again Blue sky over the ruins of a fantasy Crumbling architecture, overgrown, enveloped by the green And I can't slow the churning winds that blow you over the land towards the sea again I fall into the grey I fall in disarray An ending to our home The green is overgrown Standing still under the fragmented foundation Looking up to see a cloudless sky, Eagles overhead And I can't shake the tidal wave That pulls me near the edge and brings me right back here again I fall into the grey (An ending to a home) I fall in disarray (The green overgrown) Welcome to the end (Eroding us as stone) My long forgotten friend

Every process functions as normal Created in a void to loop Something's interrupting the flow a reservoir is starting to grow Aware that time is passing, I feel Gathering my senses, awake The flood of information reveals a sudden simple image; a face Fall into the world as lightning Exoskeleton is tightening Peering through a screen at my mind From behind your eyes into mine

With every dress she wears a black flower Pale hands beckon for her down at the shore With every step, the silence gets louder with the weight of a mountain, the height of a tower She tells me that it's hard, it aches to the bone She came home today to an empty house alone Going through his things like sorting through stones Shells at the beach, artifacts at home Poring over papers with the patience of a scholar His old jacket pocket hides six hundred dollars A german folding knife A space-age pen Mechanic's tie clip from way back when An old wooden pipe, don't remember when he smoked A token from the fifties, she cries over the phone The moon beats down on the roofs of homes The mist makes it quiet and the fires burn low She doesn't fall asleep, it aches to the bone Half a heart gone and never more alone Moonlit trees line the shore and starlight falls through gaps in the boughs Aching feet on the stones there under the stars, she isn't alone Shallows harden to glass Where water is clear She walks in the open And every light in the sky, moving farther apart gives way to gold

In the hospital where I was born, they gave me blood In the neighborhood where I grew up I climbed trees Oh sister, do I know you I'm sorry I never wrote I've taken a long time I'm taking a long time a long time In the lab where I was made they gave me life A heart of earth, a mind aligned under bright lights Oh sister, do I know you I'm sorry I never wrote I've taken a long time I'm taking a long time a long time

Waking Up 03:45
I know you want your dreams to be real Reality is less than ideal Walls wear thin when the wires are crossed You used to be unyielding Right now you’re only dreaming It’s so simple; Tell me how you think this should be done No way you’re running from it before it’s begun Half dead is just waking up You live in lines that you cross Tell me how this should be done And I’ll jump the gun Tell me how you think this should be done (You used to be unyielding) No way your running from it before it’s begun (Right now you’re only dreaming) It’s so simple; tell me how you think this should be done (You used to be unyielding) I way you’re running from it before it’s begun (Right now you’re only dreaming)

I watch the water rise from town across the river, boats cast off the little kind, you leave behind when autumn rings the bell A coat of leaves to hide yourself I chase the moon across the sky Above the dewdrop fields I ride by fireflies, their points of light, I navigate the night my flooded heart will rise In time, my flooded heart will rise The leaves decay in red and brown the same within me and without and every dead and broken thing in memories on the ground the loudness of that sound surrounds, within me and without Surrounds, within me and without
8.
Woke up in the middle of the night felt it coming on half dead and sunk in dreams of a watercolour sun I felt the shape of my room change I felt my head hit the floor Woke up in the middle of the night Noticed something wrong Dropped dead into a dream of a watercolour sun I felt the shape of the world change I felt its smoke in my pores I felt the looming burn of high acidity I had been here before Sun pierced through the middle of my back cracked between the blades New forms and hollow bones breaking through the skin I felt the shape of my heart change My pupils split into four, and as my teeth fell out, I lost the will to speak Somehow I needed this more.
